Our leaders have turned us into a laughingstock.

Our leaders have turned us into a laughingstock.

Take Ebonyi State, for example. Many public schools are in a terrible condition. Yet, can the governor confidently send his own children to those same schools? No. His son attends a prestigious British school with world-class standards, a school that is only accessible to the elite.

If the schools under your administration are not good enough for your own children, how can they be good enough for the children of ordinary citizens?

Then, when your children graduate from these expensive schools, you proudly post their achievements for the public to see, while the children of the people you govern are left with poorly funded and neglected schools.

Our leaders have to do better. This is not right.

If you look closely, some of their other children may not even be in Nigeria. Many of our leaders send their children abroad for their education, while those who remain in Nigeria attend the country’s most expensive private schools.

May God help Nigeria.

Perhaps one day, Nigerians will wake up and demand better leadership. These children receive the best education, study politics, economics, and governance, then return home to enter politics and rule the very people whose resources paid for their privileged education.

One day, Nigeria will wake up.
