A man who recently arrived in Kenya from the United States has been accused of using Tinder to target women.
According to reports, he allegedly approached women on the dating app and offered them large amounts of money to meet him. He would then take them to an Airbnb in Westlands, where he is accused of sexually assaulting and physically abusing women who refused his demands. He also allegedly recorded the assaults and sold the videos online.
Police reportedly recovered five laptops from him. Reports say the suspect is Nigerian and had been living in the United States.
At least two women have reportedly come forward with allegations against him. One woman reported to police that he raped her and forced her to perform a sexual act. Her report reportedly led to his arrest.
Authorities also allege that when the suspect realized he had been exposed, he attempted to jump from the 12th floor of the building.
He has since appeared in court, where police requested additional time to hold him while they continue their investigation.
